How wide should putting stance be?

Scott Alford
Stance Width is Yours

The width of your stance should be comfortable, it’s different for everybody. A good guideline is that the outside of your “little toes” are shoulder width apart. If you’re not comfortable with this width, that’s ok, but once you establish your ball position don’t change. If you widen your stance after you’ve established ball position, you run the risk of shifting the aim to the left. If you NARROW your stance after establishing ball position, you could be aimed right.

The most important thing is to set up to your ball position with the same width in your stance, Every Time.
